How does Harmoney work for artists?
Each song is divided into 20,000 shares. You keep 10,000 — the other 10,000 are made available to the public for investment. You earn from both the initial sale of shares and from ongoing streaming royalties tied to your holdings.
Are there any upfront costs to join?
None. Harmoney takes a limited number of shares per song as its service fee. Those shares participate in revenue just like any other, so our incentives are fully aligned with yours
Do artists lose control or rights to their music?
No. You retain full rights and creative control. Harmoney only facilitates share-based monetization of the streaming component of your song — we never take ownership of your music rights.
What happens if shares go unsold?
Unsold shares remain yours. As the title holder of those shares, all associated streaming revenue is paid out directly to you.
Where will my music be distributed?
Across all major streaming platforms — Spotify, Apple Music, and more — to maximise both earnings and exposure.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FOR INVESTORS
Get in touch with us today, and let’s build something great together!
How do investors make money?
Two ways:
- Streaming income — each share entitles you to a proportional cut of the song’s streaming royalties.
- Share trading — if a song grows in popularity, share values may rise. You can sell at any time for a potential profit.
Why would fans want to invest in a song?
It goes beyond fandom. Owning shares gives you an emotional stake, bragging rights, and real financial upside. Unlike crowdfunding, you can profit if the project succeeds, have a voice in its future, and unlock exclusive perks along the way.
Can share prices change over time?
Yes. Share prices move on supply and demand, just like the stock market. High demand drives prices up; an excess of sellers drives them down.
What are the risks?
As with any investment, returns are not guaranteed. That said, the platform is designed so that streaming royalties may allow investors to recoup their initial capital within the first year — with potential profit beyond that.
